What is a Made in Canada Product?
The Competition Bureau of Canada defines a product as Made in Canada when at least 51% of the total direct costs in manufacturing the product are incurred in Canada. Some product recommendations include a qualifying statement such as Made in Canada with imported materials.

On March 4, 2025, the Canadian government announced a 25% retaliatory tariff on all goods imported into Canada from the U.S. This is in response to the 25% tariffs placed on Canadian products imported into the U.S. by the U.S. government. The tariffs were to have been effective March 5, 2025, but have been temporarily paused until April 2, 2025.
We have identified 2,700 products now subject to tariffs, some of which include: towel and tissue, soap, paperboard cartons/containers, hats/headgear, hairnets, twine/ropes/cables, knives/blades, and vacuum cleaners.
For products where Bunzl Canada is the Importer of Record, a 25% price increase will be applied. For other products, price changes will be implemented if/when notified by our suppliers of any tariff-related price increases.
