As announced over this weekend, a range of events, scouts, and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the run-up to the game's 5.5 year anniversary. In addition to the previously announced new Five Friends' Treasure Hunt Story Event, Juliana Master Fair Scout, and the 10-Pair Scout and Special Collaboration 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout, players can also take advantage of a pair of Special Sync Pair Events, and a pair of Variety Scouts.
Run-Up to 5.5 Years Bonuses
For the next month, until March 17th at 10:59pm (PDT), the in-game Pokémon Center will be getting a special makeover to celebrate the 5.5 year anniversary, including updates to the background music.
Run-Up to 5.5 Years Log-In Bonus
A special log-in bonus for the run-up to the 5.5 year anniversary will be available from February 16th, continuing through until February 27th, at 9:59pm (PST). The rewards being offered each day are as follows:
- Day 1-8: Gems ×300
Gem Specials
The following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until February 28th, at 9:59pm (PST), offering discounted prices on paid gems.
- Run-up to 5.5 Years gem special 1: Gems ×300
- Run-up to 5.5 Years gem special 2: Gems ×1,300
- Run-up to 5.5 Years gem special 3: Gems ×4,000
- Run-up to 5.5 Years gem special 4: Gems ×14,000
A Special Collaboration 5★ Scout Ticket is being distributed to all players as a Log-In Bonus. This ticket allows players to use the Special Collaboration 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout, which scouts a single 5★ Sync Pair.
Initial promotional images appeared to suggest this would be focused on sync pairs featuring characters and Pokémon featured in the recent Battle Partners expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in Japan, cards from which will appear internationally in the Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together expansion in late March. Going by the offering rates in-game however, the scout actually includes a wide variety of 5★ Sync Pairs from across the whole history of the game. This Log-In bonus will be available between February 16th, at 10:00pm (PST), through until April 22nd, at 10:59pm (PDT), with the Ticket Scout itself running through to April 29th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Juliana and Florian Welcome Special Log-In BonusAnother special log-in bonus will also be available, this one to mark the Pasio debuts of Juliana & Koraidon and Florian & Miraidon. This log-in bonus will be available until February 27th, at 9:59pm (PST). The rewards being offered each day are as follows:
- Day 1-3: Gems ×300 + a short segment in the Pokémon Center featuring Juliana and Florian with a Trainer from Paldea.
This new Story Event focuses on the arrival of Florian and Juliana arrival on Pasio, as they makes fast friends with a number of trainers already on the island. This event will run through to March 28th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Players in this Story Event will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Strike Move Candy Coin, 5★ Power-Ups, and Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feathers 73 and 74, Custom Sync Orbs for Florian & Miraidon, and Juliana & Koraidon, and Lucky Cookies for Florian & Miraidon, Juliana & Koraidon, and Wally & Gallade. Players will need to collect a total of 10,000 Event Points for this event in order to receive all possible rewards.
As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
- Juliana & Koraidon: +60% (×1.6) Bonus Rewards
- Florian & Miraidon: +60% (×1.6) Bonus Rewards (from February 18th)
- , , , Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile, , : +40% (×1.4) Bonus Rewards
- All other Sync Pairs with the Paldea or Hoenn Theme Skills: +20% (×1.2) bonus rewards
These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Juliana & Koraidon, Florian & Miraidon, and Wally & Gallade would grant a combined +160% (×2.6) rewards.
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PST).
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.
Clavell debuts his new Sync Pair with Sprigatito in this new Special Sync Pair event. Despite his outfit being based on that worn by his counterpart from Pokémon Violet's Uva Academy, it turns out this is actually the same Clavell from Naranja Academy that's been on Pasio all this time! This event is running through to March 30th at 10:59pm (PDT).
Clavell (Alt.) & Sprigattio can be acquired simply by completing the first Story area of the event. By completing stages in the event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher V items, which can be exchanged for additional copies of the sync pair to improve their sync moves and move level, Custom Sync Orbs for Clavell (Alt.) & Sprigattio, and other items.
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher K items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.
Clavell & SPrigatito Welcome Log-In Bonus
This Special Sync Pair Event includes a log-in bonus over 10 days, to assist players in powering up Clavell (Alt.) & Sprigattio. Players can receive these bonuses up until March 30th, at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.
- Day 1-10: Custom ★ Power-Ups for Clavell (Alt.) & Sprigattio ×2
This Special Sync Pair Event, which first ran alongside the Run-Up to 4.5 Year Celebrations, is returning once more for 2025. This event is running through to March 30th at 10:59pm (PDT). Riley & Lucario can be acquired simply by completing the first Story area of the event. By completing stages in the event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher W items, which can be exchanged for additional copies of the sync pair to improve their sync moves and move level, Custom Sync Orbs for Riley & Lucario, and other items.
Players should also note the following when playing this event:

Separate Master Fair Scouts for Juliana and Florian will each be running over the coming weeks alongside the 5.5 Anniversary Celebrations.Juliana Master Fair Scout
Juliana & Koraidon make their debut in this latest Master Fair Scout, which debuts alongside the start of the Five Friends' Treasure Hunt Story Event. This scout is available in-game now, and will run through to March 28th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Juliana & Koraidon are a Fighting-Type Strike Sync Pair. This Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pair is being released with an expanded sync grid, the ability to be raided to 6★ EX, and an unlockable Tech EX Role. Raising the pair to 6★ EX also unlocks a new outfit for Juliana, giving her a Scarlet shirt with Yellow Tie, white shorts, and a pink hat.
As usual for Master Fair scouts, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 12% chance of appearing, with the featured pair having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs. Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pairs may reappear in future Master Fair Scouts.
The Juliana Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:
- 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin ×1, Support Move Candy Coin ×1, Tech Move Candy Coin ×1
- 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up ×2
- 3rd Scout: Sprint Move Candy Coin x1, Field Move Candy Coin ×1
- 4th Scout: 5★ Power-Up ×4
- 5th Scout: Move Candy Coin ×1
In addition, a Special Present! Juliana Master Fair Scout is also available, requiring paid gems. This scout gives the same rewards as the regular Juliana Master Fair Scout for the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11 for this scout. In addition, players who team up with Juliana & Koraidon in this scout will also receive a Tech Roll Cake item, which is required to unlock their EX Role.
Florian & Miraidon will make their debut in their own Master Fair Scout on February 18th, at 10:00pm (PST). This scout will run through to March 28th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
A pair of special 5★-Select Variety Scouts are now available as part of the celebrations of Pokémon Masters EX's 5.5 Year Anniversary. On top of giving players a standard Sync Pair Scout ×11, each of these Scouts also allows players to select and team up with a 5★ Sync Pair from a pool of 15 past Variety Sync Pairs. These one-time-only scouts each require 3,000 paid gems, can be used only once during the scouting period, and will remain available until March 9th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Until March 30th at 10:59pm (PDT), players will receive up to 10 special 10-Pair Scout Tickets as log-in bonuses, at a rate of one ticket per day, which can be used exclusively in a special 10-Pair Scout. Sync Pairs available in this scout include all Sync Pairs within the general pool, along with a wide variety of Poké Fair Scout-exclusive Sync Pairs.
