Things to consider:

If you are a Standard LASTIK user PLEASE NOTE!!!I do need to stress that the consistency of the Lastik HF range is quite different from the current Lastik range, although the overall wear remains quite similar in terms of flexibility (Lastik HF) and hardness (HF PLUS). These gels feature a different viscosity; Lastik HF is thinner in viscosity compared to Lastik, and HF PLUS is not as viscous as Lastik PLUS. Therefore, please keep this in mind when trying them for the first time. I would describe the LASTIK HF range as FAST BUILDERS.

Lastik HF and HF PLUS are what’s referred to as FAST LIQUID BUILDERS - these are very fast self-leveling products, it’s important to apply thin layers and small beads of product to prevent flooding of the gel into the side walls or cuticle area. If you are noticing that the product is flowing into the side walls or cuticle area it could be a sign that you are either using too much product or you may need to work slightly quicker.

HF PLUS is a very strong, soak-off builder, with extremely good adhesion, and does not usually need a base coat prior to application. You can,HOWEVER, apply a coat of Lastik HF as your first layer on clients prone to lifting, or those with weak/damaged, flexible or thin nails.Lastik HF contains more of the rubber base component and is much more flexible so acts as a bridging layer between the thin bendy natural nails and the harder curing HF PLUS, helping to prevent lifting or separation at the free edge.

HF PLUSwhilst designed primarily to be a builder can also be used as a base for gel polish or under ACRYLIC/PUG/ICONIC. If using as a base as opposed to Lastik HF for example, we recommend a thick base (remember this is a builder that cures much harder so works best when applied thicker). For best results apply one thin layer and cure before applying a second thicker layer (floating slightly), this will also help give some definition and shape to the nail. If you are only looking to do a thin base layer, then Lastik HF is recommended! The same goes for clients with thin, flexible, damaged or brittle nails – LASTIK HF would be a better base option.

If applied too thin, HF PLUS may lift/crack due to how hard it cures.

HF PLUS in comparison to similar products on the market has a low heat spike, however, each client has their own sensitivity level so it is advisable to always do a thin layer first (and for sensitive clients it is recommended to use LASTIK HF as your first layer) and make use of the low heat mode if needed before proceeding to a full cure.

Clear Lastik versions generally adhere better to the natural nails than cover/nude shades. Therefore, we would always recommend using a thin clear base layer for any clients who are prone to lifting or if your client likes to change her nude shade from one set to the next. Applying a thin clear base allows you to de-bulk down to the clear base and start a fresh application from there, eliminating the need for full removals.

Lastik products can be soaked off (time depends upon the application process/method and thickness of application but generally 15-20 minutes) - we recommend to de-bulk down to a super thin layer prior to soaking or even better starting a fresh application over the thin clear base.

Lastik Products offer maximum strength and adhesion- the rubber like texture aids in the absorption of shocks and knocks keeping your client chip and lift FREE! This does however come at a cost...The removal time (soak off) increases compared to a gel polish manicure removal.

HF PLUScures harder than Lastik HF but not as hard as Planet Iconic orPUG Clear/Clear Builder. Choose PLUSif you want a product that is easy to apply due to self-leveling propertiesand easy to remove bysoaking off in acetone.

We do not recommend creating long sculpted extensions with HF PLUS, because HF PLUSis flexible, so while it is very strong, it is still technically a soft gel – so great for short sculptures.

PLEASE NOTE: The jars come with a seal, do not throw the seal away. The seal prevents leaking and spillage, please use it every time you close the jar.
