Our long experience abroad and our love for travel have helped us a lot to perceive the needs and expectations of travelers in terms of stay.
The name of this elegant Florentine residence is linked to the road on which its garden overlooks: via Bolognese. It is the oldest postal road that crosses the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and today represents easy access to Florence from one of the most fascinating residential areas of the city.
If on the one hand it leads to the center, on the other this road, which opens beyond the ancient S. Gallo gate to the Red Bridge, goes up to Poggio del Pellegrino and continues through the hills of Pietra and Lastra, of Trespiano and then of Pratolino. Here, after passing the park of the Medici villa of the same name, the road leaves Florence definitively behind and continues through valleys and mountains towards Futa, towards Bologna.
Villa La Sosta, which in the past was part of more extensive properties on the Montughi hill, is surrounded by a large garden with cypresses, olive trees, ornamental and fruit trees; the building of the house is elegant and sober, enriched by architectural elements that recall the eclectic style of the early twentieth century, such as the main bow-window entrance and the attic tower that offers a beautiful view of the surrounding hilly landscape.
The furnishings of Villa La Sosta is set in a context of family objects from the Horn of Africa, since our family lived from the late 1940s until 1990 in Ethiopia and Somalia
